Since joining the family business at 22, Peter has helped grow McDonald Real Estate from a two-person partnership to the widely recognised brand we know today.
Peter is based in our Stratford branch, where he has lived his entire life. He knows the area inside and out, and raised his five children there with his wife, Min.
As a third-generation owner, Peter's goal is to ensure the company stays among the top performers in the industry, and hopefully pass the reins on to the next generation.
Peter has served in industry and advisory roles, including as President of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand. He was appointed a Life Member of REINZ in 2011 and a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2014.
A career highlight was celebrating McDonald Real Estate's centenary in 2012, alongside the many locals he worked with over the years.
